This 1964 Fiat 500 has been with its Los Angeles-based owner for five years and was cosmetically refurbished about seven years ago. The car was repainted in a pale green at the time of the restoration, and the 499cc air-cooled twin was rebuilt later by a friend of the seller. An oil change and valve adjustment were performed about six months ago, and the seller reports that the car has been driven around town regularly during his ownership. This Fiat 500 is sold with a clean California title in the seller’s name. The seller states that one of the previous owners in San Francisco performed a cosmetic restoration, which included a repaint in the present pale green. A few defects are noted, including scratches on the fenders and some deterioration in the finish under the front bumper, which is shown in the gallery. An early-style front Fiat badge is fitted without mustache bars. The interior is fitted with simple low back buckets and a 120 km/h speedometer. The seller notes that the shift boot is worn and should be replaced. The odometer shows under 44k kilometers (~27k miles), though no documentation exists to confirm whether this is accurate. The spare wheel and tire are still present in the front trunk, and a fitted trunk liner is in place. The 499cc air-cooled twin was reportedly rebuilt by the previous owner after they brought the car to Los Angeles from San Francisco. The seller states that a rattling noise is present, which may be caused by the exhaust. The car is otherwise said to run and drive well.
