This 1990 Ferrari Testarossa shows 7k miles and was recently imported from Japan and registered in California. A US-market example, the car was exported to Japan when new, and the selling dealer purchased it from the original owner around six months ago. The mid-mounted 4.9L flat-twelve is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle, and $14k was spent on an engine-out service completed in September 2017 at Dino Motors in San Mateo, California. Work included the installation of new seals, cam belts, fuel pumps, tensioner bearings, and a Kevlar clutch. This Testarossa is now being offered with a full tool kit, the seller’s service records, import documents, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clear California title. The Rosso Corso paint is believed to be original and no paint or bodywork is reported in the provided Carfax. 5-bolt wheels became standard in 1988, and new BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2 tires were installed by the seller. Rectangular side indicators, black rear bumper extensions, and an engine cover brake light were US-market-specific. An included car cover is stored in the front trunk. Two front hood struts were replaced at the time of the engine-out service. Dashboard leather cladding presents well, and some discoloration can be seen on the carpeting. Veglia instumentation includes a 200 mph speedometer and 10,000 rpm tachometer. The tachometer was repaired and A/C recharged during recent service. An aftermarket Japanese-market cassette-radio is mounted in a compartment in the center of the dash. The odometer is now said to read 7,100 miles, and 100 miles were added by the seller. Tan leather upholstery is well-kept, and the driver’s seat shows light creasing on the outboard thigh bolster, and mild abrasion along the back bolster and seam. The status of a 2003 seatbelt recall is unknown. The mid-mounted 4.9 liter flat-12 produced 390hp when new, and is paired with a 5-speed transaxle driving the rear wheels. An engine-out service was completed at San Mateo specialty shop Dino Motors and an included receipt shows $14k in work. The September 2017 maintenance included replacement of all fluids and the installation of a new Kevlar clutch, new seals, belts, tensioner bearings, water and fuel pumps, and more itemized on the invoice below. The fuel system was also drained and cleaned, and the engine bay was detailed prior to reassembly. The underside condition can be seen here and in gallery photographs. A velour-lined toolkit includes extra belts and small spares A recent Carfax displays a 2003 seatbelt recall, and no accidents or bodywork are recorded.
