This 1970 Fiat Dino Coupe is an Italian-market example that was imported to the US by an Air Force officer years ago. According to the seller, it has remained in Nevada and California since. The vehicle was later purchased by the President of the Lancia Club, who stored the car and did not drive it for roughly three years. The seller purchased it from him four years ago, and power comes from a factory 2.4-liter V6 paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A refurbishment was completed three years ago, including a full repaint in Azzurro Metallizzato, a $13k+ redo of the Rosso leather interior by Thomas Auto Trim in Sorrento Valley, California, refreshing the suspension system, servicing/improving the engine, and more as detailed below. This Dino Coupe is now being offered with four years of service records including all recent work, factory literature, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. When the seller acquired the car, the clearcoat was fading in areas so he elected to have a complete repaint performed in OEM Azzurro Metallizzato. Prior to the paintwork, the body was checked for corrosion and small areas near the battery tray, trunk, and under the driver’s door were professionally repaired. After this process was complete, all-new rubber trim and weatherstripping was fitted, including the window seals, door seals, hood seal, trunk seal, and more. Next, the front-end was addressed with new springs and struts, along with new rubber mounts. The independent rear suspension was also removed and rebuilt. New rubber mounts were created to mount the sub-assembly back into the car, and all of the rubber in the rear suspension was replaced. The brakes were then cleaned and tested, the drive axle was refurbished, the rubber donuts were replaced, and a new rubber mounting system was installed in the rear. https://youtu.be/F4BeDvwAEVk A walk-around video can be viewed above. Thomas Auto Trim in Sorrento Valley, California was in charge of redoing the Rosso leather interior. New upholstery, carpeting, and trim was fitted, and the power windows were also repaired. Here is the detailed receipt summarizing all interior work done, totaling $13,150. The seller states that all dashboard instrumentation works well, as do the fans, wipers, turn signals, passing headlight flash, and others. Current interior flaws are listed as a slow factory clock, a disconnected heater core, and a two-speed heater fan that only operates on the ‘high’ setting. Lastly, the windshield wiper motor could use an adjustment. The odometer shows 43,531 kilometers (~27k miles) and the seller believes that figure is correct, though only four years of documentation will accompany the sale. The 2.4-liter V6 was refurbished by Steve Maxwell of Exotic cars in San Diego. A new water pump was installed, the Weber carburetors were rebuilt, and the Dinoplex was retrofitted with a modern Ferrari electronic ignition system. The belts were changed, and the cam timing was verified. Three months ago, the carburetors were cleaned and properly tuned. Additionally, the fuel tank was removed and cleaned, and a new fuel pump was installed. The seller states that the 5-speed gearbox shifts well, and the vehicle cruises comfortably at highway speeds. Additional undercarriage pictures are displayed in the photo gallery below. A video of this Fiat is shown below: https://youtu.be/bu3LQtUPrQM
