This 1979 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce was purchased by the seller in April 2017 from a collector, who reportedly had an extensive refurbishment performed from 2011 to 2013. Work included stripping the body to bare metal and performing a repaint, as well as adding stainless steel bumpers and 15″ Minilite-style wheels. The current owner sent the car to Alfa specialist Nick Falcone Enterprises in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania in 2017, where performance camshafts were installed, a new dashcap was fitted, headlight covers were added, and the car was given a general inspection. The original wheels and radiator are included in the sale. The 2.0L twin-cam four has dual Solex carburetors and is paired to a five-speed manual transmission. The interior was reupholstered in red and fitted with a Sony head unit. This Alfa is now being sold with some records and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name. Work performed from 2011 to 2013 included installing stainless bumpers as well as a bare-metal repaint in the current dark blue color. Aftermarket 15″ wheels are equipped with Alfa Romeo center caps and wear 195/60 M&S tires. Perspex headlight covers were installed by the current owner in 2017. The black soft top is shown from several angles in the gallery below. Cosmetic details include a 2000cc/Alfa Romeo/Pininfarina badging, smaller side-signals, and chrome windshield trim. A few photos of the car during the repaint stage of the refresh are included, along with partial documentation of the work performed. The interior was fitted with new red upholstery on the seats and door panels, and the seller notes that the lights and tun signals are functional. Aside from the oil pressure indicator, the Jaeger gauges are also said to work. The odometer shows 65k miles, about 800 of which have been added by the seller over the last year. An aftermarket wood steering wheel is equipped, and the seller had a dash cap installed along with a new blower motor. Partial records of the refurbishment detail removing the upholstery, lubricating the door mechanisms, and installing the black sun visors. The 2.0-liter twin-cam four is equipped with dual Solex carburetors and paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Modifications include stainless headers, an aftermarket radiator, and a Pipercross air filter. Additional underside shots are provided in the gallery below, showing the suspension, pans, exhaust, engine, and transmission. Records from the seller’s ownership are included, plus a few from the previous collector owner.
