This 1986 Bertone X1/9 is finished in red over a tan and black interior and powered by a mid-mounted 1.5-liter SOHC four mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller acquired the car through a November 2017 BaT auction showing just under 34k miles, and has since added approximately 600. A service performed in April 2018 included new brakes, clutch cylinders, tires, and fuel hoses as well as a tune-up and more. This X1/9 is offered with receipts from the recent service, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. Rosso paint is photographed up close in the gallery below, which also shows the car with its retractable headlights in the raised position. A new targa top seal has been installed under current ownership. Factory wheels were mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 tires installed fewer than 100 miles ago in April 2018. The service also included new brake pads front and rear as well as replacement clutch master and slave cylinders. Tan fabric and black vinyl upholstery is complemented by matching door panels and black cut-pile carpeting. A Kenwood stereo resides in the radio slot and powers two door-mounted speakers. The 3-spoke steering wheel fronts a rectangular dash-mounted pod with a combination of gauges and warning lights. The air conditioning system was recently serviced according to the seller. The brake warning light reportedly remains illuminated despite the recent brake work, and the electric windows are said to operate slowly. Approximately 34k miles are shown on the 6-digit odometer. The Lampredi-engineered 1.5-liter four was originally rated at 75 horsepower and is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. An April 2018 service included a tune-up, new fuel hoses, an oil/filter change, and a cooling system flush. Adjustments were also made to allow the car to pass a California emissions test. Additional undercarriage photos are available in the gallery. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage from 1995 onward.
