This 1993 Ferrari Mondial T Cabriolet Valeo is powered by a 3.4-liter quad cam V8 paired with a 5-speed transaxle featuring an electromechanical automatic clutch. This example is one of 379 T cabriolets produced for the North American market and was purchased by the seller six years ago. Subsequent work included a new timing belt, tensioners, fuel filters, valve cover gaskets, cam seals, coil, and clutch along with a clutch ECU rebuild. Modifications consist of an aftermarket stereo, Hyper-Flow catalytic converters, and a Tubi cat-back exhaust. This final-year Mondial reportedly shows 25k miles and is offered with records, a tonneau cover, a battery tender, factory tools, a clean Carfax, and clear New York state title in the seller’s name. The exterior is finished in Rosso Corsa with body-colored bumpers and Scuderia shields affixed to the front fenders. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. The seller reports a respray of the rear bumper to remove stone chips. Cromodora 16″ wheels wear Yokohama S.drive tires all around. The black convertible top is shown fitted above and stows beneath a tan leather cover. The seller notes a missing Tenax clip in the cover and a cracked rubber molding on the passenger side of the top. Tan Connolly leather is fitted over the seats, with black leather wrapping the top surfaces of the dash and doors. The condition of the interior surfaces is detailed in gallery close-ups below. An Eclipse stereo unit and JL Audio amplifier replace the original stereo. The air conditioning system was recharged in recent weeks. A gated gear lever provides input to the electromechanical automatic clutch used to change gears in the 5-speed transmission. The odometer reportedly reads 25,500 miles. The automatic seatbelt “mice” are currently inoperable according to the seller, with the driver side failing to fully retract and the passenger side fixed in place. A secondary fixed connection is used to buckle the seatbelts. The longitudinally-mounted 3.4L quad-cam V8 produced 300 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque when new. Produced in collaboration with French automotive company Valeo and fitted to a relatively small number of Mondial T coupes and cabriolets, the 5-speed manual transaxle features an electromechanical actuator to operate the clutch. Service within the past 5,000 miles included a new clutch and rebuild of the Valeo ECU by Scuderia Rampante as well as replacement of the timing belt, secondary belts, tensioner bearings, fuel filters, valve cover gaskets, cam seals, and two coils. Modifications include a Tubi exhaust system with Hyper-Flow catalytic converters. Suspension updates include replacement of the adjustable shock actuators and plastic gears with metal parts as well as new CV and steering rack boots. The seller notes pulsation of the brakes under heavy braking. Items accompanying the car include a factory owner’s manual, keys, tonneau cover, battery tender, and tool set with leather case. Maintenance records are said to date from 2008. The Carfax report shows no history of accidents or other damage from 1993-2018 and provides 16 additional service records.
