This set of period Ferrari literature consists of an owner’s manual and parts manual for a Ferrari 365 GTB/4. The Italian grand tourer was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina and launched at the 1968 Paris Auto Show. It was nicknamed “Daytona” following Ferrari’s podium sweep at the Floridian endurance race the previous year. Only 1,406 of the front-engine, V12-powered Ferraris were made. Printed in 1973, the 100+ page owner’s manual illustrates a wide range of topics such as wheel changing and parking instructions, but also suspension set up and throttle adjustment. The parts manual provides detailed diagrams of several systems while identifying part names and numbers. These 365 GTB/4 manuals are now being offered on a bill of sale out of Palermo, Italy. The 365 GTB/4 owner’s manual is saddle stitched and features a red cover with white stripes. Written in Italian, French, and English, the owner’s manual gives a range of instructions, from operating the bonnet to setting valve clearances. Printed in Italy in 1973, the owner’s manual shows dimensions for the 4-wheel independant suspension and diagrams of the brake system circuitry. The Daytona parts manual is screw-bound and finished in the same red-over-yellow color scheme of the owner’s manual. Exploded diagrams are accompanied by parts lists. The twin Marelli distributors are detailed above, listing manufacturer, part number, descriptions in Italian, and the quantity needed. Photos in the gallery depict additional system diagrams and information tables.
