This 1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello is reportedly a European-market example that was originally sold in Germany before being imported to the US in September 2000. The car remained in Longview, Texas until it was relocated to Southern California by its previous owner in 2015, and has spent two years with the selling dealer. Power is provided by a 5.5-liter DOHC V12 paired with a rear-mounted 6-speed manual transaxle, and the body is finished in Rosso Corsa over an interior refurbished with new black leather in 2015. A 30k-mile belt and A/C service was performed in October 2016. Now showing just over 29k miles, this 550 Maranello is offered with records dating to 2008, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title. Aluminum body panels are finished in Rosso Corsa (322) over a tubular steel space frame. An included invoice shows the front bumper was repaired and repainted in August 2010. This 550 was optioned with Scuderia fender shields, and an aftermarket tint has been applied to the windows. Factory 18″ wheels are fitted with Continental ExtremeContact tires. The upholstery on the Daytona seats, quilted rear luggage shelf, dash, center console, and handbrake cover was replaced with new black leather in October 2015. Blemishes on the door panels, headliner, and carpets were also repaired at that time, and records show the total cost for the refurbishment was nearly $8k. A service to repair sticky buttons was performed in 2010. The aluminum shift gate and knob can be seen above, and the 6-digit analog odometer in the Jaeger instrument cluster indicates 29,200 miles. An Alpine head unit has been fitted in the center console, and two amplifiers are mounted inside custom enclosures in the trunk. The naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter DOHC V12 received a 30k-mile service in October 2016 at Blackhorse Motorsports in Los Angeles, California. The work included replacement of the cam belts, tensioners, and seals along with the valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, A/C compressor, and more. Power is sent through a rear-mounted 6-speed manual transaxle with limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the factory undertrays and suspension can be seen in the gallery below. The original owner’s manuals and maintenance booklet are included along with service records dating back to 2008. The accident-free Carfax report contains four odometer readings from March 2001 to June 2016. A California emissions check was passed in 2017 according to the selling dealer. A video of the car driving can be seen above.
