This 1967 Fiat 850 Spider was refurbished in light blue over black vinyl under previous ownership and was acquired by the seller after being featured on BaT in March 2016. Power comes from an 843cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, and the car features a Nardi steering wheel, 13″ Cromodora magnesium wheels, and a black soft top. This Spider is offered with a tonneau cover, a factory tool kit, and a clean California title listing it as a 1965 model in the seller’s name.
The Giugiaro-designed, Bertone-built body was repainted in Azzuro (light blue) under previous ownership. The condition of the paintwork and trim can be seen up close in the image gallery below. A discussion thread authored by the previous owner who undertook the refurbishment can be viewed here.
Cromodora 13″ magnesium wheels are wrapped in Vredestein 145 tires. The black soft top is shown raised and lowered in the gallery, which also contains a photo of the full tonneau cover.
The cabin features reupholstered black vinyl seats, a dash trimmed with zebrano wood veneer, and a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel. Factory instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for water temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, a few hundred of which have been added under current ownership. Actual mileage is not known.
The 843cc inline-four is equipped with a 30mm Weber carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The seller reports grinding at times when selecting second gear, but states that it disappears once the car is up to temperature. The most recent service was reportedly an oil change.
The car is supplied with a factory tool kit and jack as well as a steel spare wheel. A start-up and drive-away video is provided below.
