This 1968 Fiat 500 Vignale Gamine was sold new in Sicily, Italy and is one of approximately 300 produced by Carrozzeria Vignale between 1967 and 1971. Based on the Fiat 500, the Gamine was styled by Alfredo Vignale and powered by a 499.5cc twin coupled with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car was repainted under previous ownership, and custom two-tone black/orange upholstery was fitted. This Gamine was recently acquired by the seller in Palermo, Sicily and is now being offered for sale with a soft top, a stamped Italian Libretto, and Italian registration.
The body was repainted its factory shade of orange under previous ownership, and the work is said to have included refinishing the trunk and engine bay. Close-up photos of the paint, lenses, and trim are provided in the gallery, along with images of the black soft top.
12” steel wheels from a 500R are mounted with older Pirelli tires. A set of factory wheels are included in the sale, and the seller notes that new tires will be mounted for the next owner.
Interior equipment includes custom two-tone upholstery, rubber floor mats, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The painted dash houses a single center-mounted 120 km/h speedometer that contains a 5-digit odometer indicating 47k kilometers (~29k miles).
Under the rear-hinged deck lid is a 499.5cc twin linked with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The engine was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership, though supporting records are unavailable.
Additional photos of the underbody are presented in the gallery below.
A stamped Italian Libretto and a copy of the original bill of sale are included in the sale. Running, walk-around, and driving videos are viewable below.
