This 1961 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider is one of 3,443 examples built between 1958 and 1961 and was completed on January 29th, 1959. It was acquired by the current owner out of San Francisco 22 years ago and is powered by a 2.0L twin-cam inline-four paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Cosmetic refurbishment carried out over the years included a repaint in red, replacing the soft top, and freshening the interior. New master and slave cylinders were installed in April 2019, and the brake shoes were also relined. Additional work completed earlier this year included rebuilding the carburetors, replacing the oil pan gasket, and performing a valve adjustment. This Alfa 2000 has won several awards at local concours d’elegance and club meets, and it is now being offered for sale on behalf of the current owner with service records and a clean California title.
