This 1971 Alfa Romeo Montreal was delivered new in Italy and imported to the US under previous ownership. It was moved to Canada by the seller after his purchase in late 2008. Finished in red over a two-tone red and black interior, the car is powered by a 2.6-liter DOHC V8 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The SPICA fuel injection pump was re-calibrated by Ingram Enterprises in 2009, and an oil change was completed more recently by the seller, who has driven the car about 2k kilometers over the last decade. This Montreal is now being offered for sale in Vancouver with factory manuals, an original sales brochure, and British Columbia registration.

The Montreal was designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, and 3,925 examples were built between 1971 and 1975. This example was repainted in its original shade of red under previous ownership, and closeups of the current finish are presented in the gallery along with images showing the louvered headlight covers both open and closed. The seller notes touched-up blemishes and dings above the rear passenger-side taillight.

Stock 14” Campagnolo wheels are wrapped in Michelin tires. Larger front brake calipers from a BMW were added by the seller along with suspension components from Harvey Bailey Engineering. The factory chin spoiler was removed under previous ownership.

Bucket seats are trimmed in two-tone black and red velour, and red carpeting features black piping. Three-point retractable front seatbelts and Mercedes-style door check straps have been installed during the seller’s ownership. An older Blaupunkt cassette stereo replaces the stock unit, while an ignition warning light was added in lieu of the factory cigarette lighter. According to the seller, the clock and A/C are inoperable, though the latter has been converted to R134a.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of stock Jaeger gauges, including a 260 km/h speedometer and a 9k-rpm tachometer. Just over 38,500 kilometers (~24k miles) are indicated on the 5-digit odometer, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.6L quad-cam V8 is paired with a ZF 5-speed manual transmission. The SPICA fuel injection pump was reportedly checked and re-calibrated by Ingram Enterprises in 2009. The seller installed a modified seal holder behind the distributor drive upon his purchase in 2008. High-tension spark plug wires were also added, and an oil change was recently performed.
