This 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider was first registered in Connecticut and spent time in New Jersey and Florida before its acquisition by the seller in mid-2019. Power is from a 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in red over a black leather interior with air conditioning and a CD player. Service in late 2019 included replacement of the tires, front wheel seals, brakes, U-joints, drivetrain mounts, exhaust components, and more. This Spider is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The car is said to have been repainted in its current red, and the replacement black convertible top was reportedly also replaced under previous ownership. Bubbling and rust-through are pictured in the rocker panels.
Painted 14″ Campagnolo wheels were fitted with new Vredestein Sportrac tires in November 2019. Concurrent brake work included resurfacing of the front rotors and replacement of the rears along with installation of new pads at all four corners.
The interior is trimmed with black leather on the seats, matching plastics, and gray carpeting. Equipment consists of a wood-look steering wheel and shift knob, air conditioning, a digital clock, and a CD player with USB and auxiliary inputs.
Instrumentation includes a replacement tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer with a new cable, and a six-digit odometer showing 38k miles. Approximately 200 miles have been added by the seller, and total mileage is unknown.
The twin-cam 2.0L inline-four features Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The engine is shown being started and run in a video from the seller. The exhaust manifold gasket, header, and Y-pipe were replaced in fall 2019 along with the engine and transmission mounts.
