This 1975 Fiat 130 coupe (chassis D0004097)  is one of less than 200 produced this model year and 4,500 in total, according to Pininfarina production records–the seller further speculates that only about 10% were 5-speed manuals such as this one. With barely over 50k miles, this claimed three owner example comes with a binder full of records and looks quite good inside and out. Find it here on eBay in Lawndale, California with reserve not met.

The handsome, sharp edges of these cars make them one of Paolo Martin’s most famous designs, surpassed only by the Ferrari Modulo. Barring the nose, the shape recalls another Pininfarina product, the Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2, which launched one year later in 1972.

The interior, also penned by Martin, features a wooden veneer console, toggle switches and soft illumination using then state-of-the-art fiber optics. An aftermarket CD player sticks out like a sore thumb, but otherwise everything looks original. Hopefully the button that allows the driver to open the passenger door remotely still works–a very cool feature.

The 3.2 liter V6 here is the same version offered in the 130 Berlina and ought to produce 165 HP. The seller says it makes great sounds and is fun to flog. With 3,400 pounds to haul, these cars aren’t super fast in a straight line, but handling was critically acclaimed by the 70s automotive press.

These are very cool grand tourers and far too rare. This one looks like a very good example, and the 5-speed puts it over the top.
