This 1963 Lancia Flavia coupe (chassis 8151004581) is described as a matching-numbers 4-speed car imported from its native Italy two years ago. The ad further describes it as a one-owner example, but unless it emigrated with the original owner, it would seem that the seller isn’t including themselves in the count. The ad isn’t super-detailed either, but the car looks to be in good driver level condition and the seller’s claims of no rust are partially supported by a couple of lift shots. Find it here on eBay in Vacaville, California with reserve not met. Reads the meat of the ad: “Matching-numbers, one-owner, imported from Italy two years ago. Left hand drive, with all import papers, service records and docs, toolkit, jack and spare. No rust ever, nice paint and interior, though it needs a dash pad. Runs good.” These Pininfarina styled and built coupes bear a strong resemblance to the Ferrari 250 GTE, and for a period both were assembled in the same plant. This dark blue is a classic 60’s Italian color and suits the car beautifully, and finish looks to retain a decent, consistent shine across all panels. Originality isn’t touched on, but the plates look likely to be those the car has worn since new–can anyone decode them for region or other info? The interior looks very decent as well, though as noted by the seller the dash pad could certainly stand to be repaired or replaced. Note the unusual but cool gauge layout–the tach is a traditional clock-type analog piece while the speedo is horizontal. The distinctly angled shifter is cool too, and in these earlier 4-speed cars is often reported to snick between gears with a super-precise and smooth feel. The car’s liquid-cooled boxer four looks standard including the air cleaner, but unfortunately running condition isn’t touched on. A few lift shots show the car from underneath however, and appear to support claims of solidity.
