This 1963 Fiat 750 Vignale is a fully refurbished coachbuilt coupe that has remained in Italy throughout its life and is said to have had two previous owners prior to the seller’s purchase one year ago. The car is finished in its original light blue with red leather upholstery, and is equipped with a rare factory-optional tachometer. Now showing around 75k kilometers (~46k miles), the car is powered by a rebuilt 750cc rear-mounted inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual transaxle. This Vignale-bodied coupe is certified by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano and is now offered with its original paperwork and Italian registration. The body was sandblasted and repainted in its original light blue during a refurbishment that began in 2010, according to the seller, and the finish can be seen close-up in the photo gallery below. Designed and built by Italian coachbuilder Carrozeria Vignale, the limited-production 750 Vignale was developed from the unibody chassis of the popular Fiat 600D. 12” wheels are painted white with chrome wheel covers and are mounted with Kleber V12 tires that are said to have been fitted about 200 kilometers ago. Like the Fiat 600D on which it was based, the coupe features four-wheel independent suspension, with a single transverse leaf-spring stabilizer and gas-charged shock absorbers in the front, and coil-over shocks in the rear. According to the seller, the interior has been refurbished with new seats and new red leather upholstery, while the instruments, mirrors, glass, handles, and other serviceable parts were retained as original and repaired as needed. The dash features an optional tachometer, which the seller notes is uncommon in the 750 Vignale. A video of the instrument panel showing tachometer function can be viewed above. The odometer shows approximately 75k kilometers (~46k miles), around 500 of which have been added by the seller, a professional race car driver who collects classic Italian cars. The 750cc inline-four, based on a Fiat 100-series engine, was said to be rebuilt during refurbishment work and is mated to a 4-speed manual transaxle. According to the seller, a service around six months ago included changing the fluids and filters. Videos of the engine at idle and being revved can be viewed above. Additional photos of the undercarriage, suspension, and brakes can be seen in the photo gallery below. The car comes with certification from Automotoclub Storico Italiano and the corresponding ASI sticker can be seen in the quarter window in the gallery below. Driving videos of the car can be seen below.
