This 1967 Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto is finished in red over black and was reportedly acquired from its original owner in 2015 by the current owner, who is the proprietor of Alfa Center in San Francisco, California. A subsequent overhaul is said to have included a respray as well as rebuilds of its 1,600cc twin-cam four, 5-speed manual transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes, and more. The odometer shows approximately 49k miles, just 300 of which have been added since completion of the work. This Spider is offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with a top cover and a clean California title in the owner’s name. The exterior refurbishment reportedly included stripping the body, repair of sheet metal imperfections, and application of an $11k repaint. Receipts for the work will be included according to the seller, who describes several chips acquired in the nose since the work was completed. Stainless steel trim pieces were polished, glass is stated to be new throughout, and a replacement canvas convertible top was fitted as shown in the gallery below. Stamped factory wheels were stripped, powder coated, and mounted with new tires. The bucket seats were recovered in black leather with red piping. The original wiring harness was reused in combination with several new switches and other electrical components. The wood-rimmed 3-spoke steering wheel fronts a large speedometer, tachometer, and 5-digit odometer reading 49k miles, just 300 of which were reportedly added following completion of the work. The all-aluminum 1,600cc twin-cam four and 5-speed manual transmission are said to have been rebuilt, while the rear differential was not overhauled according to the seller. A new starter was installed and the radiator was reconditioned. The standard four-wheel disc brakes were replaced during the refurbishment work.
