This 1980 Ferrari 308 GTBi is one of 494 examples produced between 1980 and 1982 and was sold new at Foreign Cars Italia of Greensboro, North Carolina. The car spent time in Kentucky and Michigan before it was acquired by the Tennessee-based dealer two years ago. Power comes from a fuel-injected 2.9L quad-cam V8 mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and a major service performed last year included the installation of new timing belts, tensioners and pulleys, valve cover gaskets, cam seals, and new fluids. Now showing over 55k miles, this 308 is being offered in Tennessee with service records beginning in 1990, an original window sticker, factory manuals and toolkit, and a clean Michigan title. The Pininfarina-designed body wears an older repaint in its factory shade of red. Detailed photos of the exterior are provided below, and the seller notes some cracking of the finish along with some other age-related wear. Factory 14” Cromodora wheels show some curb rash and wear a set of Pirelli P4000 tires. Each corner is pictured in the gallery. The interior has been reupholstered with new leather and features prancing horse logos on the headrests. Replacement carpets were installed under previous ownership, and the black headliner is shown in the gallery. Equipment includes a cassette stereo, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a gated shifter for the 5-speed manual transaxle. According to the seller, the A/C remains set up for older R12 refrigerant and is not currently functional. Over 55k miles are shown on the odometer. The transverse mid-mounted 2,927cc quad-cam V8 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and Marelli Digiflex ignition. New timing belts, tensioners, and pulleys were installed by the selling dealer last year. Approximately 150 miles have been added since, and additional work included tuning the fuel injection system and installing new valve cover gaskets, cam seals, and fresh fluids. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a dogleg 5-speed manual gearbox. The seller notes some rust on the tailpipes and exhaust heat shield, and additional photos of the underbody are provided below. A complete factory toolkit is included in the sale, along with original manuals and service records beginning in 1990. The original window sticker lists the factory equipment and shows an MSRP of $48,185.
