This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera (chassis THPNMA02928) has been at the body shop for the last six months getting new floors and other rust repair, and is now offered as a roller with all parts other than suspension in boxes and neatly displayed by the seller. The engine has been rebuilt and it looks like it was painted red at one point, though the factory color is not specified. Find it here on eBay in with no reserve.
This 1968 Alfa Romeo 1300 GT Junior is a very clean restored car that looks like it was imported from Italy last year. The juniors had small engines and different grilles, among other changes, but still have the beautiful looks of the earlier 1600 cars. Most have seen engine swaps, but given that this one retains the factory 1300, we’d leave it just as shown. Find it here on Vintage Motors Sarasota in Florida for $39,500.
Details like bumpers and window trim all look very nice on this car. We had these wheels mounted on our Dutch GT and they look really great with the hubcaps as shown. Proper skinny tires look like they are either Michelins or Pirelli Cinturatos, each excellent choices.
The interior benefits from the earlier dash style that was already phased out in the USA by the time this car was produced. Actually, no Alfas were imported in 1968, but the GTV returned in 1969 with the quad headlights and later style dash. We like this one, and might stray from the stock rubber mats with Sprint GT style carpets to elevate the look. The 2-spoke wheel is another Junior difference, and a Hellebore replica would be an easy win and look great with the interior colors.
The engine bay is impressively clean and retains stock details like the crossover air cleaner. Finishes and wiring under the hood all looks very good. Again, GTA mods are tempting, but are likely better on another car.
We’d love to have this car for easy sunday drives or even daily driver duty somewhere where A/C is not necessary. It is no racer, but even the 1300s can be good fun on a spirited drive. We think that Juniors this nice could be found cheaper on European websites, but the wait and expense to import means that this one is still attractive. Have it for this weekend!
This 1977 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce (VIN 100GBS10105787) is a rust free, strong running example that benefits from a recent cosmetic refurbishment including new paint and interior in original colors. Black over brown is an excellent color for these late model Spiders, and following a recent inspection by the seller’s Italian specialist mechanic, it has been given a clean bill of health. Originally a California car, it has been in Colorado with the seller for the past two years and passes state smog tests easily. It is now available in Denver, Colorado for $10,400.

Headlight covers give the front end a smoother, better integrated look similar to earlier boattail Alfa Spiders, and we like black on these rubber bumper examples as the dark color helps to minimize their visual heft. Correct 14” Campagnolo wheels benefit from recent powder coating, body work is straight, and the car is thought to be accident free in addition to having no rust. Three year old paint appears to be of a fairly decent driver quality, and as evidenced by jambs and inner panels remain in the correct factory hue. Though showing some moderate wear the vinyl top is said to be fully functional, water tight, and includes the original boot cover for when retracted. Badging is fully present save for small Iniezione lettering on the car’s rear end.

Four years ago the car received new, professionally installed carpet and upholstery, both of which look quite nice in photos. The refurbished dash looks pretty good apart from a hairline crack (which can be professionally repaired prior to delivery if needed) and shows good switchgear and instrumentation, while the car’s simulated wood rimmed steering wheel appears well preserved apart from a faded horn button applique. Door cards match the seats well and show minimal signs of use, and though the roll bar is a welcome addition it does rub slightly on the driver’s seatback resulting in a wear mark.

The car’s 1962CC twin cam, SPICA injected four is said to run very strongly and sound great, and as previously mentioned was recently deemed healthy following a thorough look-over. The seller offers to put potential buyers in touch with the specialist shop responsible for inspection, and though not verifiable due to missing receipts the motor is thought to have been freshened seven years ago with new bottom end bearings as well as fresh rings and reseated valves. The odometer shows 4k miles and is believed to have roller over once. Handling is described as excellent, four wheel discs as strong, and the 5-speed is said to shift smoothly and quickly with ease. Tires have good tread life remaining, but the car will eventually need a new fuel tank sending unit as well as replacement shocks in front.

This 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider was purchased new by a Ford engineer who then drove the car only 7,200 miles over the next 17 years. The little Fiat then passed on to his daughter and her husband who added a scant 2,200 more between 1988 and 2012, and as a result of its minimal use and careful storage the car remains in very good, all original condition with an odometer showing less than 9,500 lifetime miles. The car is alleged to have never spent a night outside, is completely rust free and is further claimed to run and drive like a new car. It is now available in Rapid City, South Dakota for $9,500.

The seller is a professional detailer and believes that the car retains all of its original single stage lime green paint. Pictures show straight panels and clean paint with deep shine and no obvious major flaws, though several hairline cracks have developed over the years—none of which are thought to be a risk for snagging or chipping at this time. Brightwork and other trim looks equally excellent, jambs and rockers show little to no grime, and apart from some minor pitting on the factory wheels’ finish and the aforementioned hairline paint cracks the car has an extraordinarily well preserved exterior.

Inside, the cabin shows similarly to the exterior and is only let down by a crack on the glove box faux wood insert, but otherwise appears much as would be expected on an extremely low mileage, carefully looked after car. Rubber mats, switchgear, instruments, steering wheel, and vinyl surfaces including the seats, door cards and dash top look to be in near-new condition. The original convertible top badly deteriorated from sitting stowed for four decades and has been removed and thrown away, but the mechanism remains in place and is in good operable shape.

Hidden away in back under an engine cover with very clean paint on both sides, the car’s 903CC, longitudinally mounted four cylinder remains all stock, very tidy, and is said to run strongly with no smoke or other issues. Dealer maintenance records are available but minimal in keeping with the car’s low usage, and during its two years with the seller the car has received four oil changes and one coolant system flush. Perished door hinge bushings have been replaced, tires remain in good, useable condition with ample tread and the car is said to brake, steer, ride, shift and run like new.

This 1981 Mirafiori (VIN ZFACA30B2B0743105) sounds to be a rare Sport model and is said to be rust free and very strong running. The car looks nice lowered over black OEM wheels, is said to handle excellently and benefits from a recent timing belt, fresh hoses and tune-up. Interior photos aren’t great but upholstery appears to be in good condition, and apart from a few small dings on the trunk lid bodywork looks surprisingly straight. This 1971 Pantera (chassis THPNLL01579) is from our preferred small bumper, pre-L era and though still in need of plenty of restoration work the seller estimates it is about 65% finished at this point. The car’s 351 Cleveland and ZF 5-speed are said to have been rebuilt but aren’t hooked up, and it’s further claimed that the car is complete apart from a missing exhaust manifold and clutch pilot bearing. This Lancia Delta Integrale EVO1 is a model that we are eagerly awaiting to become importable to the USA in 2017. It is rare to find these with a mint leather Recaro interior plus fully functioning A/C and electrical components. This 1967 Alfa Romeo GT Junior (chassis AR242196) is described as complete despite the seller noting several parts missing such as the taillight assemblies and the steering wheel. The car has been completely disassembled and its twin cam four is said to need work. Some rust is noted on the body and can be seen on the floors in photos, but a clean title and claimed matching numbers are both big pluses. This 1971 Fiat 850 Special looks like a nice example and was recently imported by the seller. He shares an odd story of an inability to get this 43-year-old car registered due to an emissions issue. This 1959 Flaminia Sport Zagato (chassis 824.00-1181) is offered as a restoration candidate and sounds to be non-running following several decades of storage. Largely straight, complete and solid, the car retains its original engine and seems surprisingly well preserved. Though refurbishing a neglected old Lancia could never be called easy, this one certainly looks as if it will be a lot more straightforward than most found after a similar stretch of disuse. Flaminias are among our favorite models from the once glorious marque, and these rare Zagato bodied versions are spectacular when sorted. Originally silver-gray, this mustard colored respray works surprisingly well on delicately detailed double bubble sheet metal. The car looks to have all its likely irreplaceable trim intact and in restorable condition, and though the nose shows some moderate damage and is said to be Bondo’d it seems to have been used as dent filler—aluminum doesn’t rust. Floors and sills are said to be corrosion free, a claim seemingly backed up by photos that also show what look to be solid subrames and suspension hard points—save for expected surface rust, of course.
The cabin has weathered the years better than the exterior and shows what look to be original door cards and seats in good, clean salvageable condition. Dash leather should also be re-useable following cleaning, treatment and new adhesive, instruments and switchgear look great, and the large but elegant wood rimmed steering wheel’s crack free and clean finish suggest the car was stored with care away from light and in controlled humidity. Carpets will need replacement, the headliner appears to be missing, and the rear compartment will need some general tidying, but overall appearances suggest this car’s interior will be the easiest resto job.
Things look hopeful underhood as well, and save for a few minor pieces like hoses and brackets the little V6 seem to be all there. The seller doesn’t mention whether it still turns, but even if it does there’s no guarantee that it won’t need extensive rebuilding—chances are it will, in fact. The rear mounted transaxle should also be inspected, but stands a slightly better change of needing only fresh lube and mild adjustment as opposed to a full on tear-down and reassembly. Electrics are another point of concern, and we’d likely elect to have a new wiring harness for safety’s sake.
Though a scarcer covered headlight Series I car, the seller rightly points out that a broadly similar Sport Zagato was very recently auctioned for the equivalent of nearly $780,000 USD. This one could be worth close to half that much if not more provided it gets a proper (read: expensive) restoration. Were it ours it’d be a keeper, but the opportunity to fix, enjoy for a bit and then turn a good profit down the road sounds entirely possible here.
This 1978 FIAT 128 3P Coupe is said to be a completely rust free car, which is an amazing claim for a FIAT of this era. The seller adds that the paint and stripes are all original other than the re-sprayed hatch, and that it runs and drives great. As for the interior, it is said to be largely other than the nice looking re-upholstered seats, and the dash even appears to be crack-free. Find it here on eBay in Modesto, California.

Describe the body condition: Balduzzi painted the Giulia. No rust & excellent paint. It features Balduzzi rally colors, although not to excess; with Balduzzi decals and script, which can be removed if you so wish. It is rakish and in keeping with the engine. Defects: tear in seat and 1 piece of varnish bubbling.
Describe the mechanical condition: Balduzzi built a 2 liter screamer taking the car from 80 to 180 horsepower. It has been tuned to perfection, purring softly at idle & wailing like a daemon pierced by an angel’s bolt at redline. The gearbox is tight and fluid, the clutch easy. The suspension is tight. Brakes have racing pads that need warming. Engine/Tranny mounts are harsh.
What makes this car special? Balduzzi raced the GTA & GTAM & won Monza in 73, collaborating with Autodelta. The pistons are lighter & higher compression, head work, cams, valves, modified 36mm carbs. Modified fuel jets & intake trumpets, customs manifolds and muffler, short gear ratios, 40% stiffer springs, koni racing dampers.

This 1985 Alfa Romeo Sei is claimed to be the only Alfa on this side of the Atlantic with a five cylinder turbodiesel under the hood. The Sei was Alfa’s flagship sedan during this period, with a long list of accouterments, and with this rare drive train it makes for a fantastic alternative to a comparable Mercedes or Peugeot. We also love the fact that this is called a “Six” but has five cylinders under the hood. Find it here on eBay in Riverside, California with the reserve met at $6k.
The exterior styling of the Alfa Sei is both smart and attractive, and we think it is a shame Alfa sedans of this vintage are so few and far between. We much prefer this Sei’s styling to later Milanos. The chocolate paint, claimed to be mostly original, suits this Alfa’s character perfectly.
The interior of this Alfa is all business, yet as is to be expected from the marque it is still very aesthetically pleasing. We especially like the layout of the square gauges, as well as the distinctive steering wheel. How many Alfas of this vintage feature interiors which have survived as well as this one?
The five cylinder turbodiesel mill under the hood is not a proprietary Alfa unit, but was rather sourced from VM Motori. With 105 hp on tap, it is no scorcher up top, but it should have plenty of bottom end pull. Thankfully, this Sei boasts a five speed manual transmission.
If you are in the market for a diesel-powered Alfa Sei, this will likely be the only one to come up Stateside for some time. We imagine this car would be a fantastic candidate to take a longer trip in; as a matter of fact, it may just be the best Alfa out there for the job.
This 1967 Alfa Giulia Super 1600 is said to have belonged to the seller for many years, but is not currently running. Some title paperwork will need to be figured out, and these cars are known to rust, but as our last few features have shown, these sedans can be awesome when finished either stock or modified. This one has been hyped by several Alfa fans on social media in the last week, so we have to wonder a bit why it isn’t gone yet. Find it here on Craigslist in Culver City, California for $5500.
This 1967 Lancia Fulvia Rallye 1.3 (VIN 818330007543) looks to be a very clean restored example that sounds to need very little corrected. The reupholstered red interior is particularly striking against its factory correct bright white exterior. While not quite as crazy as the bigger-engined HF models, these base cars nonetheless offer much of the same fascinating engineering, excellent build quality and driving thrills as their bigger engined brothers. Find it here on eBay in Gervais, Oregon with a $28k opening bid and no further reserve.

This car needs inspection before considering restoration but is a no-brainer for someone with a similar Fulvia that needs dash, guages, or mechanical parts. The seller claims it is straight and very little rust, but the nose, rockers, and floors should be checked out. New dark green paint would look great with silver Campy alloys.
This 1958 Bianchina Transformabile is a project that looks to have seen better days with two flat tires and part of the top unsnapped. Though not mentioned, we doubt the little Fiat two cylinder is in running condition. Despite rust on the front valance and the aforementioned issues, this Autobianchi appears mostly complete. Find it here on eBay in Woodmere, New York for $4,500 or best offer.
This 1956 Giulietta Spider (chassis AR149500348) has recently been restored to what looks like quite a high standard. Prepped for vintage racing in the style of the Rainville/Kaplan 1957 Sebring class winner, the car looks great with a hard half tonneau, single driver’s screen and white Minilites. We can’t find any good photos of the car it’s modeled on, but this one impresses with its well executed detailing and largely period correct vibe. Find it here at Copley Motorcars in Needham, Massachusetts for $69,800.
Paint looks excellent and bodywork appears to be very straight, and though sitting a touch high in back we imagine the tail drops a bit with a full load of fuel—otherwise stance is just about perfect. The SuperTrapp muffler and red fuel cell poking out underneath the rear are the only really obvious clues that the car isn’t a vintage build, and the good-looking roll bar is said to be SCCA approved.
A big, wood-rimmed wheel dominates the interior view, and though not really ideal for track work it looks so fantastic that we’d gladly grapple with it rather than fit a smaller, leather rimmed item. The cabin view here shows that the roll cage continues underneath the tonneau and along the length of the car’s doors. Low back racing seats include harnesses, and though we can’t see a fire extinguisher or plumbed in suppression system one or the other has to be present if this a serious build.
Mechanical specs are minimal, but the car is said to run a 1400 CC twin cam with dual Webers and 5-speed gearbox. It looks very clean and hardly used under the hood, while the opposite end of the car shows an equally sanitary trunk with neatly installed fuel cell and associated plumbing. The under body shot shown at the end of the listing shows no road grime or dirt whatsoever, further reinforcing our belief the car has seen minimal use since completion.
Is it too clean to race? We’d tape up the lights and book some track time ASAP before we lost the nerve—what good is a freshly built racer that sits in the garage?
This 1969 Fiat 124 Coupe (VIN 124AC 0094921) could use some detailing, but all in all looks to be a very solid car. It has been repainted once in the original, attractive shade of blue, and the Cromadora alloys look great as well. This could make a great first classic for the beginning hobbyist with a good tool set. Find it here on eBay in Los Angeles, California with reserve not met.
This 1968 OSI 20m TS coupe has had a full brake system rebuild, a fuel tank flush, and a recent battery, all signs that it might have been sitting for some time with little use. The car has wide steel wheels and what looks like good paint luster. The not-pictured interior is also said to be professionally done.
